Bryan Anger is gradually emerging as one of the most accomplished punters in the history of the Cowboys, with his 83-yard punt standing as the second-longest in the team’s records.

Anger has appeared in 51 games for Dallas, ranking him outside the top-10 among Cowboys punters in terms of games played. Despite this, his average yards per punt (49.1) is the highest in team history. Additionally, he has accumulated 8,696 punt yards (eighth-most) and boasts a 38.4% punt rate inside the 20, which is the second-highest in team history.

Mat McBriar is in the competition for the Dallas Cowboys’ greatest punter, ranking third in career punt yards with an impressive 22,369. However, it is Mike Saxon who holds the top spot in team punt yards. Having played for the Cowboys from 1985 to 1992, Saxon accumulated a remarkable total of 24,542 punt yards. Nevertheless, the honor of the longest punt in team history belongs to Ron Widby, whose 84-yard punt narrowly surpasses Anger’s. Since 1968, Widby’s record-setting punt remains unbeaten.
