Trevon Diggs thinks he’s about 10 days away from being able to practice

The Dallas Cowboys are holding their training camp in Oxnard and have already had three practices. Absent from the proceedings is CeeDee Lamb, who is waiting on a new contract before he returns to practice. There is another Cowboys star who is waiting to get back to practice, but it’s not about money for him. Trevon Diggs is missing practice on the PUP list as he rehabs from his ACL injury from last season.

Trevon Diggs was spotted at the end of practice playing around with his good friend Micah Parsons. They engaged in a sprint race, and a little pretend fighting.

Mike Leslie caught up with Diggs after all that and asked how his return to practice was looking. Diggs said he was close, and when pressed a little further, he offered up 10 days as a timeline.

Of course, players tend to be more optimistic and less cautious than teams when it comes to getting back into action, so the Cowboys probably won’t press the matter. The good news is that Diggs is feeling confident about a return soon.

In his place, rookie draft pick Calen Carson has been getting a lot of first-team reps.
