Report: Cowboys rumored to have checked in with Raiders about WR Davante Adams
It was reported by NFL Network on Tuesday that Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has requested a trade from his team. When something like this happens, speculation runs rampant. Just about every fan from every team wonders if theirs will be involved.
To answer your question, the Dallas Cowboys are apparently monitoring the situation.
The Jets and Cowboys are among the many teams monitoring the Davante Adams situation. Both have checked in with the Raiders. I’m told at this point that Vegas is in no rush to make a move until a team reaches their asking price — but Adams wants out ASAP.

The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported on Wednesday morning that the Cowboys are among the “many” teams who have checked in with the Raiders. We do not know the specifics of what “checking in” is, for all we know it could just be asking what a potential price may cost.
Adams is among the more-tenured wide receivers in the NFL, but he continues to play at an elite level. Current Dallas Cowboys wideout CeeDee Lamb has spoken about how much he admires Adams’ game for some time so the two playing together would likely be very cool for him.
We have seen the Cowboys trade for a star wide receiver from the Raiders before when they sent their 2019 first-rounder to the then-Oakland Raiders in exchange for Amari Cooper. That 2018 season felt broken offensively from the very beginning, very much like this year.
Adams is older and there are reports that he may have a hamstring issue. He has no guaranteed money left on his contract after this year which makes the situation very interesting to say the least. Overall it would be one of the rental variety and we know the Cowboys are not a team who likes to do that.
It is not uncommon for Dallas to be linked with a star player wanting a trade. We will see if this ultimately leads to anything.
