Cowboys vs Eagles recap: Social media reaction to massive loss against division rival
After a week long of depressing news with injuries and roster issues, Dallas Cowboys fans felt uninspired for this week’s contest against the Philadelphia Eagles. The game started off well but soon tumbled. How did social media take to the game as it unfolded?
The Cowboys offense go three-and-out on the first drive.
DeMarvion Overshown has been impressive this year. So much speed.
Cooper Rush takes the shotgun snap and takes his eye off the ball, fumbles, ball lost to the Eagles deep in Cowboys territory.
The Eagles capitalize and score off a push inside the five-yard line.
Cowboys offense does well on the ground with Rico Dowdle. Drive ends in a field goal.
Trevon Diggs does what he does best and makes the interception!
Trevon Diggs. That interception was nuts.

Overshown gets another sack.
Then Micah Parsons welcomes himself back to the NFL with a sack.
The best backup quarterback is a good defense.

Rico Dowdle looks good on the next drive. The offense hands it to Zeke in the redzone and he fumbles before getting in the endzone.
This yall king right? Red zone carry and he coughs it away. Pack this guy up.

BUT WAIT! Parsons flies in and causes Hurts to fumble on the Eagles five-yard line.
Eagles drive before the half and score with a Dallas Goedert catch.
Cowboys offense come out in the third quarter looking flat and lacking energy.
Three and out for the Cowboys. Just a bad performance from this offense.

Cowboys offense opens the 2nd half picking up 1 yard on 3, consecutive plays before punting.
So there’s that.

Eagles score again.
Cowboys give Jalen Hurts too much time to weave around the pocket, and that gives Johnny Wilson time to finally shake loose from Jourdan Lewis. Touchdown Eagles.
21-6. That’s all she wrote, folks.

And again…
Trey Lance comes in for a couple of plays.
Down 28-6 the #Eagles with 2:56 left in the third quarter, Trey Lance has replaced Cooper Rush at QB for the #Cowboys.

Salt in the wound at the end of the third quarter, Rush fumbles again and it’s just a mess on the recovery.
Cooper Rush fumbles on a sack by Bryce Huff. Terence Steele, who was beaten for the sack, unable to recover the fumble – and may have prevented Hunter Luepke from recovering it – and Philly takes over at the Dallas 21.

Then in the fourth quarter, Jake Ferguson coughs the ball up and the Eagles recover.
The Dallas Cowboys front office should be embarrassed.
10 times over. More than that.

Trey Lance throws an interception.
I mean this is peak ugly. Backups in for Eagles, 5 TOs, footballs intercepted by the sun, fumbles at goal line.
