Dallas Cowboys training camp coverage from social media: Highlights from practice #5
It’s another beautiful day in Oxnard and another practice session for the Dallas Cowboys. For the first practice of the second week, the pads were on for the first time. Here are some of the big plays of the day.
First-round defensive lineman Mazi Smith shows why he might be a big threat this year.
Mazi Smith had the fastest get-off on this rep — continuing what I’ve reported regarding that improvement pre-pads — getting good push up the pocket as well.
Dak throws low and away where only WR can get it.

Terence Steele got put through his paces.
KaVontae Turpin showing he can be an entertaining deep threat if given the chance.
Micah Parsons giving everyone a fright after going up against Chuma Edoga and falling to the ground. We’ve thrown the hands to the face penalty flag on this one.
Royce Freeman is an under-the-radar player who is showing up at camp.
DeMarvion Overshown is a name that people are hyped about, this is why.
Chuma Edoga had to step out while he got examined. More news on this as it gets reported.
Tyron Billy-Johnson continues to make the most of his reps with CeeDee Lamb still sitting out.
Jalen Brooks makes the impressive catch.
Juanyeh Thomas making plays
Day one of padded practice over with some interesting results.
First day of padded practice just wrapped up and the day Tyler Guyton just had reminded me a lot of another day exactly six months ago that he had in Mobile.
Strong start for the rookie.#DallasCowboys https://t.co/xNngBQdHEP
