LIVE RADAR: Starting the week with more unsettled weather

A weak frontal boundary will continue to bring rain chances through Wednesday morning. Storm coverage will be isolated to scattered.

There will be far more dry hours than wet ones. Rainfall totals to an inch are possible across the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Higher rainfall totals from 2 to 3 inches are possible to the southwest of North Texas.

A Flood Watch is in effect for the Big Country (Brownwood, Abilene and San Angelo) from 7 a.m. Monday until 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Keep in mind that any storm will be capable of brief heavy rainfall, gusty winds and lightning. If you will be spending time outside, make sure you have a place to seek shelter if a storm impacts your area. Severe storms are not expected.

Expect highs ranging from the upper-70s to upper-80s with heat index values ranging from the mid-80s to mid-90s.

Our unsettled weather pattern continues across North Texas. NBC 5 Meteorologist Kevan Smith outlines the chances for rain over the next few days.

Another weak cold front by Thursday will bring drier air into the area. This airmass will allow afternoon highs into the upper-80s to lower-90s. Overnight lows will fall into the 60s.
