Cowboys Reacts survey: Determining which is more likely, total collapse or a rebound
Here we go again. Gathering as Dallas Cowboys fans after another loss, and a season that is trending in the wrong direction. The Cowboys lost to the San Francisco 49ers and dropped their record to 3-4 on the season. Add on top of that the fact that the Washington Commanders and Philadelphia Eagles both won and in the process stretched out their leads over Dallas in the NFC East.
We have two questions for you this week. One is our standard question about your confidence that the franchise is headed in the right direction. The other is about the Cowboys status at the end of the year, and we’ll give short arguments for each option.
If you were forced to place a large wager on these two options, which would you pick – the Cowboys make the playoffs or the Cowboys get a Top 10 draft pick? For the Cowboys to drop into the Top 10 of picks they would probably need to end the season with only six to seven wins. To make the playoffs they would probably need something in the neighborhood of nine wins.
On the positive playoffs side, you have the fact that the team should be getting some its better players back over the next few weeks. That includes Micah Parsons, who is missed greatly for the pass rush and creating splash plays on defense. They also have games left with the Panthers, the Giants, and a struggling Bengals team. So getting out of the Top 10 draft territory is not the heaviest lift with an upset or two along the way.
On the other side, the Cowboys have a ton of problems right now with no easy fix available. Even with Parsons and others returning, it might not be enough to lift this team. They are already staking the playoff contenders to leads and they will have to pull off some upsets along the way.
So which is more likely? Vote in the poll then hit the comments section.
