Cowboys vs Saints: Offensive prop bets could make a lot of sense

The Dallas Cowboys play the New Orleans Saints on Sunday and you can add a little more spice to the game with prop bets.

FanDuel has a dizzying array of interesting prop bets for the game, so we’ll take a look at a few to try and get an idea of how the game may go.

First, a brief primer on the odds:

The “-” odds show how much you’d need to bet to win $100. For example, if you see the odds are -120, that means if you wager $120, your potential profit is $100 (plus your original stake).

The “+” odds show the amount of money you’d win if you bet $100. For example, if you see the odds are +120, that means if you wager $100, your potential profit is $120.

Here are the bets to take.

Dak Prescott over 256.5 passing yards (-113)

Last week we advised taking the under with Prescott’s passing yards based on a tough Browns defense. That worked out, but this week we’re taking the over. Prescott is always much better playing at home, and the Saints will likely be without cornerback Marshon Lattimore. This game could easily become a shootout, so all signs point to Prescott having a productive day.

CeeDee Lamb over 87.5 receiving yards (-120)

Following the theme above, Lamb should end up topping what he did last week. Prescott’s favorite receiver should take advantage of the slot corner for the Saints, and being at AT&T Stadium usually means big numbers for the Cowboys offense. Over for Lamb.

Alvin Kamara over 49.5 rushing yards (-113)

Alvin Kamara should thrive in a Klint Kubiak offensive scheme, which is running back friendly and plays to Kamara’s strengths. Last week we saw a rejuvenated Kamara go off for 83 rushing yards, and while he won’t match that this week against a better Dallas defense, he will still break the 50-yard barrier on the ground.

Total TDs 5.5 (+110)

This one is maybe a reach, but because of the odds it might be worth it. We’ve already discussed how the Cowboys score more points at home, and the Saints come into the game looking like a better offensive team than before. We’re going out on the limb for a shootout of sorts, so were taking the over on total touchdowns.
