Dallas Cowboys injuries: Tackle Chuma Edoga in boot following preseason loss against Rams
Update: 10:00pm ET
ESPN’s Todd Archer noted that Edoga will have an MRI for the injury.
Chuma Edoga will have an MRI for the toe injury he suffered in the first quarter. Some concern internally there. Tyler Guyton seemed to handle his work at left tackle fairly well Sunday. The rookie will be asked to do more.

That he said there is “some concern” definitely feels notable.
The Dallas Cowboys played their first preseason game of the year on Sunday afternoon, a loss against the Los Angeles Rams. Given the exhibition nature of things what is most important is how the team looked and what they can glean from the performance. Above that though is the subject of injuries as the most critical thing is to emerge healthy.
Unfortunately that is not entirely the case as Cowboys tackle Chuma Edoga left the contest with what was reported to be a foot injury, more specifically his toe. According to reports immediately after the game he is in a walking boot.
Chuma Edoga left the #Cowboys matchup vs. Rams with a foot injury. He’s now in a boot.

Edoga is potentially the Week 1 starting left tackle and if not then he is the team’s primary swing tackle (this is in a world where rookie Tyler Guyton supplants him by then). That kind of depth is extremely valuable. The Cowboys depth on the offensive line looked a little suspect against the Rams as Trey Lance saw plenty of pressure. Getting Edoga back will be important for the overall offensive line picture.
